How to download your Amazon order history

Amazon no longer has a “download order history” button. Your complete order history comes as a data request: you ask for Your Orders, confirm by e-mail and download a ZIP of CSV files — usually within hours.

Open your ZIP in the viewer

Step by step (desktop browser)

  1. Sign in on the Amazon website for your country (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de…) in a computer browser — these steps follow the desktop site.
  2. Open Account & Lists → Your Account and scroll to Data and Privacy, then choose Request your data. Menu wording changes from time to time — if you can't find it, type request my data into Amazon's help search.
  3. In the list of data categories choose Your Orders. Avoid Request all your data unless you need everything: it takes much longer.
  4. Click Submit request.
  5. Amazon sends an e-mail with a confirmation link (Confirm data request). Nothing happens until you click it.
  6. Wait for the second e-mail saying your data is ready, open the link and download the files. The download link does not last forever, so save the ZIP soon.
  7. Open the ZIP in the order history viewer — no need to unzip it.

How long does Amazon take?

What you get

A ZIP named like Your Orders.zip with CSV files. Since February 2026 the main file is Order History.csv; older downloads contain Retail.OrderHistory.1/Retail.OrderHistory.1.csv instead. There is one row per item, with columns such as Order ID, Order Date, Product Name, ASIN, Quantity, Total Owed (now Total Amount), Currency, Order Status and your shipping and billing address. Digital purchases (Kindle and other digital orders) and refunds (refund history) come in separate files.

Opening the raw CSV in Excel works, but dates arrive as text like 2024-03-05T14:22:11Z, the columns are in alphabetical order and digital orders sit in another file. The viewer reads all of them together and the Excel export gives you a clean sheet with real dates and numbers.

What happened to Order History Reports?

Amazon's built-in report page (Download order reports), which produced a CSV for a date range, stopped working for personal accounts after 20 March 2023. Amazon Business accounts still have their own reports. For everyone else, the data request above is the official way to get the full history in one file.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still download an Amazon order history report as CSV?

Not with the old report tool — Amazon retired it in March 2023. The data request (Your Orders) gives you the full history as CSV files in a ZIP, from your first order onward.

How far back does the order history go?

The data file covers your whole account history — people find orders going back to the early 2000s.

Is the Amazon data request free?

Yes. It is part of Amazon's privacy tools and costs nothing.

Does this site download my order history for me?

No. Only you can request your data from Amazon. This site helps you read the file once you have it, in your browser.

How do I open the ZIP in Excel?

Excel can open the CSV inside, but you get text dates, alphabetical columns and separate files. The Excel export turns the ZIP into one tidy .xlsx sheet.
